Steven at Aspirus Financial Services helped me through obtaining my first home loan, and I definitely couldn't have done it without him. When one lender was being difficult extremely close to the settlement date (even with pre-approval), he was able to find and escalate a loan from a different lender that still met my needs at low interest rates. He was able to liaise with both the lender and conveyancer on my behalf, which was a huge relief as I wasn't readily available to chase things up during business hours, nor did I understand the first thing about the process of buying a house. Steven was always very patient, answered all my questions in layman's terms, and essentially guided me through each step. He was incredibly responsive with communication (even at 10.30pm on NYE!), and very flexible with meetings to a time/place convenient to me. If you are starting out in property investing and looking for a broker with the skills to properly set up the best financial arrangement for your portfolio, the Aspirus is right on the money! Steven Phang is what I call and "investment savvy" mortgage broker rather than a "transactor" which is representative of most of the banks and a lot of other brokers.
